NMP Conducts Pilot Class on Updating Training on Basic Safety Through Blended Learning
With the aim of making NMP’s training programs accessible to all Filipino seafarers especially in this time of health crisis, the National Maritime Polytechnic conducted a pilot class for the offering of Updating Training on Basic Safety (BTU) through blended learning last 17 October 2020.
Said undertaking was part of NMP’s response to the priority policies and programs of the government to facilitate transition to the “new and better normal” underscoring adult learning through online and/or blended learning.
The pilot-class was initiated by NMP’s Curriculum Development Section (CDS) and facilitated by OICNW Lito C. Jain with twelve (12) participants.
Based on the evaluation instrument gathered, 100% (12 out 12) rated the training program as excellent or good.
The activity aimed to assess the effectiveness of the delivery of the course using blended learning and identify the areas for improvement before its regular offering.
