TACLOBAN CITY– The Commission on Audit (COA) resident auditors led by its OIC- Audit Team Leader, Ms. Joji Grace H. Hadap conducted an exit conference with the National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) Officials on 13 April 2023 at the NMP Conference Room to present the audit observations and recommendations and to discuss the necessary corrective measures that need to be taken to address the issues raised, in preparation of the NMP Annual Audit Report (AAR) for CY 2022.

The conference proved to be an informative and productive discussion, resulting to a comprehensive review of the audit findings. Both parties shared their perspectives and insights on the various observations and recommendations, allowing for the identification of feasible solutions to address the identified deficiencies. As a result, a concrete action plan was developed.

Moreover, NMP provided detailed updates on the corrective measures it had already implemented, demonstrating its proactive approach and strong commitment to improving its operations and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

During the conference, NMP OIC-Executive Director, Mayla N. Macadawan, expressed her appreciation to the audit team for their diligent review and valuable recommendations. She emphasized the agency’s commitment to addressing all issues raised in the report and enhancing its processes to provide quality public service while reinforcing accountability and transparency to its stakeholders.
