TACLOBAN CITY – To help ensure continuous access to quality education despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) donated 10 reams of bond paper to Ridgeview Park Integrated School (RVPIS).

The donation is in support to the teachers of RVPIS particularly on the production of their modules and activity sheets as they undertake the modular distance mode of teaching and learning.

“We do hope that this, no matter how limited, will go a long way to help you in the accomplishment of your programs” NMP Executive Director Joel B. Maglunsod shared as he personally turned-over the bond papers.

Moreover, as a responsive move to protect and preserve the environment and in support to government’s efforts to mitigate climate change, NMP also responded to the request of the RVPIS for the provision of coconut seedlings which the school intends to plant at the sides of their premises. A total of forty-five (45) coconut seedlings were given by NMP.

“These donations will surely make a difference not only to us teachers but most especially to our learners and the community” School Principal Ronald B. Llaneta expressed.

The RVPIS is an Elementary School located in Barangay Cabalawan. It is a newly established school for families relocated in the Ridgeview Park I, one of the National Housing Authority’s (NHA) resettlement site. Some of these families are from the bunkhouses provided by the R. International Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IPI) for the Super Typhoon Yolanda Survivors
