Taking cognizance of the fact that safety is non-negotiable, NMP, through its Safety & Health Committee, conducted a comprehensive fire drill at the NMP Training Complex, Cabalawan, Tacloban City. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Office 8, marking a key part of the annual observance of Fire Prevention Month every March.

The drill exposed NMP employees and trainees to real-life simulations of fire prevention, safety protocols, and proper evacuation techniques, arming them with vital knowledge crucial for ensuring safety not only in the workplace but also in their respective homes.

To maximize the effectiveness of the activity, BFP representatives observed and evaluated the proceedings and subsequently conducted a debriefing aimed at refining the agency’s response to emergencies and disasters.

The exercise underscores NMP’s commitment to fostering a safe and secure environment, ensuring that all personnel are adequately equipped with the skills and knowledge to efficiently manage emergency situations.
