TACLOBAN CITY — The National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) reaffirmed its commitment to efficient and excellent government service as it underwent a comprehensive inspection conducted by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) earlier today, 31 July 2023.

ARTA inspectors delved into various aspects of NMP’s service delivery, focusing on the implementation of the Citizen’s Charter, creation of a Committee on Anti-Red Tape (CART), establishment of a Public Assistance and Complaints Desk (PACD), and adherence to pertinent ARTA Memorandum Circulars.

With a resolute commitment to transparent and accountable service, NMP actively engaged with the ARTA inspectors throughout the inspection process. The collaboration culminated in the presentation of valuable recommendations by the ARTA Team. These suggestions aim to optimize service efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce bureaucratic red tape. NMP welcomed the recommendations with enthusiasm, pledging to swiftly implement them to elevate the quality of services provided to the public.

NMP is required to submit an Action Plan on the recommendations provided with a deadline set on 09 August 2023.

Notably, NMP earned praise from the inspectors for its diligent efforts in consistently updating the Citizens Charter. The comprehensive and up-to-date charter ensures that clients are well-informed about NMP’s services, processing times, and steps involved in availing assistance.

As an organization committed to excellence, NMP’s steadfast pledge to implement necessary improvements underscores its dedication to exceeding client expectations and delivering an exceptional government service experience.
