IN PHOTOS – National MaritimePolytechnic (NMP) Executive Director Victor A. Del Rosario welcomed Commodore Romeo P. Pulido Jr., Commander of the Philippine Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV), who paid a courtesy visit this morning of April 30, 2024.

To offer a deeper understanding of NMP’s role and relevance in the maritime industry, an Agency Brief was presented to the CGDEV Team at the NMP Conference Room. Subsequently, a fruitful discussion ensued, focusing on enhancing maritime training initiatives. Key points included the development of courses tailored to address the specific needs of CGDEV personnel and its new recruits. Additionally, both parties explored the possibility of utilizing NMP’s facilities to facilitate various CGDEV activities, thereby optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

NMP ED Del Rosario expressed full support for the proposed collaborative endeavors, emphasizing the strong bond between NMP and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). Notably, he highlighted that a significant number of NMP employees proudly serve as members of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) 1101st Squadron, Coast Guard Auxiliary District Eastern Visayas (CGADEV).
