TACLOBAN CITY – The National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) is excited to announce its participation in the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), scheduled for 02 August 2024 at Leyte Normal University (LNU), Tacloban City.
During this event, NMP will offer FREE Basic Training (BT) to the first 100 clients who will visit the booth. BT is essential for aspiring maritime and allied professionals and is one of the key requirements mandated by the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) for securing a Seaman’s Book. This training equips individuals with the foundational skills and knowledge necessary for working onboard ships, ensuring safety and competency at sea.
In addition, clients may also take advantage of NMP’s FREE courses for those who want to work onboard passenger vessels, namely: Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Service to Passengers in Passenger Spaces (STPPDSPPS); Passenger Ship Crowd Management Training Course (PSCMT); and Passenger Ship Crisis Management and Human Behavior Training (PSCMHBT).
Visitors to the NMP booth will have the opportunity to learn more about these courses, receive training information, and get assistance with online enrollment. NMP will also distribute its Annual Maritime Training Schedule (AMTS) and offer limited-edition giveaways.
The BPSF serves as a valuable platform for NMP to enhance its visibility and engage with the community. By participating in this event, NMP aims to highlight the significance of maritime training and contribute to the professional development of future seafarers.
