NMP Publishes 2019 Training Schedule

The National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP), a premier maritime training, assessment and research institution, releases its schedule of program offerings for CY 2019 both at the NMP Tacloban Complex and NMP Manila Office.

Meanwhile, NMP Manila Office located at the 2/F Employees Compensation Commission (ECC) Building, 355 Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati Citywill offer Training Course for Instructors (IMO Model Course 6.09) and Training Course on Assessment, Examination, and Certification of seafarers (IMO Model Course 3.12).
NMP will start accepting enrollees for 2019 come 03 December 2018.
NMP ensures that its training programs are designed and structured in accordance with the standards of competence prescribed under the Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers Convention 2010 Manila Amendments including value-adding courses towards improving the qualifications of Filipino seafarers for their employment acceptability and enhanced competitiveness.

Seafarers are likewise enjoined to avail of the NMP-OWWA (Overseas Workers Welfare Administration) Seafarers’ Upgrading Program (SUP) which entitles the beneficiary to receive financial assistance for training costs from the OWWA.
