TACLOBAN CITY –Affirming its commitment to employees’ health and well-being, the National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP), in coordination with the City Health Office and the Sto. Nino District Health Center, administered free anti-flu vaccinations to NMP personnel on October 16, 2023, at the NMP Complex in Cabalawan, Tacloban City.
A total of 124 personnel, including NMP regular employees, Job Order Workers, and outsourced personnel, availed of the vaccination program. The activity was spearheaded by NMP nurse, Mr. Leobee C. Mendoza, RN.
As the nation enters the rainy season, posing increased health risks, the NMP took proactive measures by prioritizing flu vaccinations to ensure the welfare of its valuable workforce.
NMP Executive Director Victor A. Del Rosario emphasized that the employees’ welfare is the foremost priority of the Agency. “The health of our personnel is the cornerstone of our operational excellence. By prioritizing preventive healthcare, we not only protect the individuals within our organization but also contribute to the larger goal of building a healthier and more resilient community,” he stated.
