The activity focused on embracing change and building camaraderie among participants, perfectly embodying the event’s theme, “Challenging the Change.”

During the opening ceremony, DMW Assistant Secretary for Seabased OFW Concerns, Atty. Jerome T. Pampolina expressed, “In our journey, we acknowledge that change is an inevitable companion, but together as a team, we stand ready to not only embrace it but to challenge it. This event underscores our commitment to fostering teamwork while addressing the ever-present winds of change.”

NMP OIC-Executive Director, Ms. Mayla N. Macadawan echoed this sentiment, stating, “We are more than just colleagues; we are a family. While our journey may present formidable challenges, we approach them with unwavering enthusiasm. Together, we will navigate the uncertainties ahead and strive for a brighter maritime industry.”

The various activities were conducted by teams, with four (4) teams created for this purpose. Each team engaged in a diverse range of activities, including mental exercises, interactive sessions, games and physical activities such as swimming and boat riding. Participants not only embraced change but thrived on it, discovering innovative solutions to the challenges presented.
