TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE – In significant stride toward enhancing financial accessibility, the National Maritime Polytechnic (NMP) and Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) sealed a partnership by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the installation of an LBP Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) within the NMP premises.
The initiative stems from NMP’s request, born out of a sincere commitment to advancing the welfare and enhancing the services provided to its stakeholders.
NMP, as a premier government-owned maritime training and research center, sees this development as a vital step in streamlining financial transactions for its stakeholders. The ATM installation is poised not only to serve the immediate needs of NMP but also to cater to the growing influx of travelers and tourists visiting the iconic San Juanico Bridge Light Project.
LBP, a government financial institution, is committed to providing seamless banking services through this ATM installation. The collaboration reflects LBP’s mission to promote financial inclusivity and support key institutions in the country.
Upon satisfaction of all conditions stipulated in the MOA, the ATM is set to be installed anytime next year. The MOA represents a joint effort to promote convenience, efficiency, and financial empowerment within the local community.
Both parties are looking forward to the positive impact this partnership will bring to NMP’s operations and the broader community. As the MOA comes into effect, NMP and LBP are committed to provide improved financial services to the NMP and its stakeholders.
