NMP Office Soon To Open in Davao

TACLOBAN CITY – To increase NMP’s visibility in the major areas of the country, NMP Executive Director Joel B. Maglunsod together with Deputy Executive Director Mayla N. Macadawan had an initial discussion with Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office XI, Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo, CESO III on 14 December 2020 for the possible establishment of NMP satellite office in Davao City.

The meeting yielded DOLE’s allotment of space for NMP in the One-Stop Service Center for OFWs (OSSCO) located at the Gaisano Mall in Davao City. Accordingly, the said office will function as a liaison office, to coordinate and market the trainings offered by NMP to the seafarers and the shipping companies in the area.

Meanwhile, the NMP Manila Office will transfer to a more accessible location at the Labor Governance Learning Center (LGLC) of the DOLE Building at Intramuros, Manila come early 2021. This way, more seafarers in Central Luzon will be able to attend NMP trainings.
